Why Did I Go Solo?

Hi! I'm Taia, the founder of Go Solo and a passionate solo traveler who's discovered the life-changing magic of exploring the world independently.

​

Traveling solo has taught me more about myself and the world than any classroom or job ever could. Through countless journeys, I've learned how empowering, exhilarating, and liberating solo traveling can be, and I'm here to share that experience with you.

 

I began my solo traveling journey in 2019 when I came to a powerful realization: if I kept waiting for others, I’d never get to live the experiences I longed for. I’d spent too many years holding back, and I knew it was time to take that first step and embrace life on my own terms.

 

Taking that step wasn’t easy, but it was the best decision I ever made. Since then, solo traveling has given me a deeper sense of freedom and confidence, opening doors to new places, people, and perspectives. Now, instead of holding back, I embrace the journey fully—on my own terms.
